Meet Our Team

Derek Flowers

President / Principal Broker

Derek Flowers earned his real estate license in 2003. He opened his real estate and mortgage brokerage, founding Flowers Realty Services LLC, in Texas in 2006.

Since then, Derek has built a diverse portfolio of experience, including a 17-year tenure in residential and commercial property sales and property management, and also founded FRS Commercial Advisors.

He currently holds real estate broker’s licenses in Texas & Illinois, instructor licenses in both states, and is an active member of CCIM, ULI, and TRETA.

Derek is well versed in many facets of real estate. He is currently a CCIM candidate and received a Commercial Real Estate certificate from Cornell University. He is also an approved real estate property tax arbitrator with the Texas Comptroller presiding over commercial property tax disputes.

Derek has a long record of successfully guiding local, national, and multi-national clients through their real estate acquisitions, lease obligations, and asset reposition and dispositions. He specializes in applying his expertise and market knowledge to broker deals that exceed his clients’ expectations.
Derek has closed millions of dollars in real estate transactions and remains active in commercial real estate and mortgage services throughout the Dallas Fort-Worth and Chicago areas.

Derek holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems and Technology and a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Leadership.

Marcia Flowers

VP, Capital Markets

Marcia’s hard work, integrity, professionalism, and unique ability to relate to her clients have earned her an exceptional reputation. She has been successful in the real estate profession for over 25 years. Marcia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Management. Marcia’s experience while in Corporate America, included oversight of several Accounting Divisions which provided her with invaluable management and financial analysis experience.

Marcia, along with her husband, Derek, opened Flowers Realty Services LLC in 2006. Flowers Realty Services offered both residential and commercial real estate and mortgage services, however, due to the exponential growth of the commercial services division, FRS Commercial Advisors was formed.

Over the course of her career, Marcia has closed millions of dollars in real estate and mortgage transactions.

Marcia’s time in commercial real estate, along with her previous experience in the financial industry, has given her an understanding of commercial real estate markets and the ability to always put the client’s needs first. Marcia’s determination to build trust with her clients, understand their needs, and act in their best interest has been profitable in making long-term relationships.
Through Marcia’s experience in both business and real estate, she understands the key points of commercial real estate transactions; whether it be asset acquisition, asset disposition, leasing, or project development. She has an outstanding work ethic and is detail-oriented in order to keep the transactions smooth.

When Marcia is not working, you will find her reading a novel or watching football. She loves to travel and she is always planning her next adventure with her husband. She also volunteers with a national company assisting individuals with their tax returns.

Darien Flowers

Associate Director

Darien Flowers has been a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Texas since 2017. He has worked with Flowers Realty Services LLC for the past 7 years, as a Director of Operations, and he is currently working on his Texas Real Estate Broker’s License.

Darien is well-versed in many facets of real estate including investments, acquisitions, dispositions, and property management. He is also bringing several transferable skills from his time in the realm of education and politics. Darien prides himself on establishing long-term, meaningful relationships with his individual clients, viewing himself as not only a real estate advisor but a friend with his clients’ best interest at heart.

Darien holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Public Policy & Human Rights from Southern Methodist University 17’. He is a member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, and Texas Association of Realtors.
